Frequently asked questions and answers about our home sleep apnea testing program.
How much is the treatment device (CPAP)?
The total treatment price depends on the device, mask, accessories, and supplies you need or choose. Treatment with CPAP is sometimes covered by health insurance. We will process your insurance claims for you, or assist you with the processing. If you would like help determining if your policy will cover CPAP, please call us to discuss at 1-877-357-3212.
Is treatment an additional charge above the $349 for the test?
Yes. If you have sleep apnea, you will need to purchase the treatment device (PAP) and monitoring in addition to the test. As part of our program, we work with medical equipment suppliers to provide much lower prices than you will find using traditional solutions like your local sleep clinic.
What if the test shows I DO have sleep apnea?
If you test positive for sleep apnea, you will need to get it under control before your doctor will sign off on your DOT medical certificate. As part of our program, we can provide you with the treatment device (CPAP), and monitor your progress. Once the device is working properly, we will provide a report proving that you are under treatment, and your doctor can clear you for your DOT medical certification.
What if the test shows I do NOT have sleep apnea?
If your test shows you do NOT have sleep apnea, we will provide a report with the results and diagnosis to your DOT physician, and they can clear you for your DOT Medica certification.
Can I still drive if I have sleep apnea?
YES! If your test shows you have sleep apnea, you will need to use a treatment device called CPAP at night to treat your sleep apnea. The CPAP records your use, which can be submitted to your DOT physician to show you are compliant with treatment instructions. As long as you are properly using your CPAP, your DOT doctor can clear you for your medical certificate.
